Old family recipe? Maybe, but this delightful tomato and meat (beef, veal & pork) sauce blended with just the right amount of vegetables and herbs (celery, onion, carrots, red wine, sea salt, bay leaf, rosemary and black pepper) makes for a quick, scrumptious tastes-like-it's-made-from-scratch dinner. One jar serves 4-6 people with 1 pound of pasta. Our favorite way to use the sugo is as follows: as your pasta is boiling, gently heat the sugo in a skillet. Drain the pasta, put it in the pan with the sugo and cook about 2-3 minutes until the pasta is completely coated...and of course serve with freshly grated Parmigiano cheese. Mwah!
